What is a Juice Cleanse?
A juice cleanse, also known as a juice fast, is a short-term dietary regimen in which individuals consume only freshly prepared fruit and vegetable juices while avoiding solid foods. The goal is to rest the digestive system and provide the body with essential nutrients.
Why do people do Juice Cleanses?
People choose to do a juice cleanse for various reasons, including detoxification, improved digestion, increased energy, and to jumpstart healthier eating habits. Cleanses can be a great way to re-set from old or negative food habits. Lot’s of people use Juice Cleanses to promote a healthier, more balanced relationship with food and exercise. Cleansing should support you to make healthy choices that help you increase your overall health, fitness and well-being.
What are the benefits of a Juice Cleanse?

The main benefit of doing a cleanse is to rest and re-set your digestive system. Cleanses are a great way to eliminate unhealthy, highly processed, sugar heavy, fatty foods and influx the body with healthy, healing nutrients, minerals and micronutrients. Everyone goes on their own journey on a cleanse so everyone’s experience can be a little different to the next. However, here are some common feelings during and post a Juice Cleanse;

Are there any side affects when Cleansing?

Some people get extreme hunger, fatigue, headaches, nausea (uncommon), aches and pains (flu like symptoms) and digestive discomfort whilst on a cleanse.

It’s essential to consult with a healthcare professional before starting a cleanse. It is important you seek medical advice before undertaking any Juice Cleanse. If you feel unwell during or post your cleanse please see a GP.

How long are your Cleanses?
Juice cleanses can vary in duration. We offer 1 day, 3 day and 5 day cleanses.
You can order a once off cleanse or subscribe and save whilst getting the benefits of regular cleansing
What types of Cleanses do you offer?

We run 7 different cleanse programs. They run from a basic, fruit filled cleanse (Cleanse 1) right through to an all greens, no sugar cleanse (Cleanse 7).

Each is designed to take you step-by-step towards Cleanse 7, but you can begin and stop/stay anywhere you want within the 7 Cleanse programs.

You might love Cleanse 5 and choose to always do that one. However, if you do want to really understand how a strong, deep Juice Cleanse will make you feel then we’ve developed a clear, simple pathway to get you there.

You can also choose between a 1 day, 2 day, 3 day or 5 day Juice Cleanse. Eg. Cleanse for 3 days on Cleanse Program 4.

When do I start my Cleanse?

It’s up to you! However, you do need to consume your cleanse juices within the use-by dates printed on the bottles.

Most people like to cleanse over a weekend or at the beginning of the week to set themselves up for the week or season ahead.

Try a few different times of the week and see what works for you, your body and your work/life balance.

Be sure to order at the right time. Our juices are freshest and taste best when consumed within 5 days of delivery.

Can I do a Juice Cleanse if I'm pregnant?

Raw products are not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Juice Quest advise you to contact a medical professional before consumption of any Juice Quest products.

Can I Cleanse if I have a medical condition?

Raw products are not recommended for those with a weakened immune system, young children, those on certain medications and anyone generally concerned about the consumption of raw produce.

Will I loose weight by doing a Juice Cleanse?

Some people may lose some weight on a Cleanse. Any weight lost whilst cleansing is a combination of releasing fluids, glycogen stores and internal waste, in addition to some body fat.

Every body is different and as such the experiences had whilst cleansing as well as after-effects will differ for each individual. It is not recommended that Juice Cleanses be used solely for weight loss, but to create and increase a healthy relationship with food and a balanced diet.

Can I exercise while on a Juice Cleanse?

We recommended that you participate in light exercise whilst on a Juice Cleanse. Examples include; gentle Yoga, gentle Pilates, stretching, light swimming, light cycling or walking. Remember that a cleanse is about giving your digestive organs a rest. To maintain the best outcomes from your cleanse and to remain safe whilst cleansing choose softer, slower types of exercise.

Can I eat whilst Cleansing?

When you are cleansing the digestive system is getting a much-needed break. It is common to feel the need to eat.

If food is required whilst cleansing then soft, light foods are recommended. Foods such as steamed vegetables, plain steamed rice, salad dishes (no condiments), unsalted/activated almonds, and if not doing an advanced cleanse (no sugar cleanse) then fruits like watermelon or rockmelon are also good choices.

Can I drink caffeine whilst Cleansing?

Caffeine is a stimulant and when Juice Cleansing we are looking to rest our body and digestive system.

We know that stopping coffee cold turkey can be tough, and can lead to withdrawals. Things like headaches, body aches and pains, mood changes and focus.

This is why we recommend tapering yourself off caffeine in the days and even week that lead up to your cleanse. If you do need to drink coffee or a caffeinated beverage whilst on a cleanse we recommend a light green tea.

How do I prepare for my Juice Cleanse?

It is important to reduce your intake of processed and artificial foods, refined carbohydrates (foods that are high in sugar), as well as caffeine and alcohol in the days that lead up to your cleanse.

Drink plenty of water. Hydration is a key component to cleansing. It assists in the “detox” process. These things help prepare your body properly for a Juice Quest cleanse.

When we cleanse we are introducing a huge amount of nutrients into the body’s system. If we have prepared ourselves well, we can reduce the stresses that a cleanse can put on our system as it clears out waste and toxins. Participating in a cleanse is a commitment.

You are taking yourself on a journey. Prepare well and you will enjoy the experience much more.

What to expect while cleansing…

When we cleanse, our body is put into a state of rapid detox. The process of eliminating waste and toxin build up in the body can come with some uncomfortable sensations; headaches, aches and pains, fatigue and sometimes even flu like symptoms. Remember to keep drinking plenty of water between each juice in your cleanse.

You may experience bathroom urges, more urinating than usual. Because of this we recommend you cleanse either at home or in a comfortable setting where a bathroom is easily accessible. Know that the symptoms of the juice cleanse will pass and remind yourself that being on a cleanse is an experience. As well as drinking plenty of water we recommend light exercise as stated above, lots of rest and lots of sleep. If you feel cold during a cleanse this is normal.

Some bodies are naturally prone to feel the cold. If you experience feeling colder than normal then you may like to drink a non caffeinated herbal tea (no sweetener) between your juices. This will help keep you warm. Also, don’t be afraid to layer up! Wear a warm jumper and put on those socks to keep your body heat inside.

What should I do/eat following my Juice Cleanse?

It is important to be gentle with yourself post cleanse. Ease your way back into a normal day of work.

Take a couple of days to re-establish regular food intake. Remember your body has just had a rest and re-set moment (especially if doing a 2, 3 or 5 day cleanse).

Your first meal back should be fruit such as watermelon, rockmelon and grapes. High water content fruits are best so as to gently introduce fibre, carbohydrates and sugars back into the digestive system. Broth based and smooth vegetarian soups make a great dinner food introduction after a cleanse.

Introduce meat and other denser foods slowly.

How often can/should I do a Juice Cleanse?

Everyone is different and as such everyones nutritional and wellness needs are also different.

Some people enjoy and benefit from regular weekly single day cleanses, others enjoy the benefits of longer cleanses (3-5 day cleanse) every month or quarter.

We recommend you try out how different cleanses at difference intervals feel for you. Every body is unique and what you feel works for you, wont be right for someone else.
